With so much to see in the Renaissance City, it is obvious that by adding one of these Florence private walking guided tours, your stay in Tuscany will be made easier! Paola & her partners have put together a few classic tours that will introduce you to the artistic and architectural wonders of Florence.
As the cradle of the Ranaissance, Florence has important ones, such as Uffizi painting gallery, Accademia of Fine Arts where the original Michelangelo’s David is, Pitti Palace with the Boboli garden included, Bargello National museum of sculpure, Medici Chapels, Brancacci Chapel with the earliest Renaissance frescos by Massaccio
The biggest one Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, Santa Croce the franciscan church known for its famous florentince glories buried, Santa Maria Novella domenican church, Santa Maria del Carmine known for the Masaccio frescos, Santo Spirito agostinian church known for the Michelangelo crucifix.
During my walking guided tours of Florence I suggest the Palazzo Medici the 1st Tuscan Grand Duke residence, or we can visit the Palazzo Vecchio medieval fortress, our today Town hall, Pitti Palace the 3rd Medici family residence.
We will visit the Mercato Centrale of San Lorenzo a leather and food market, very central, but I suggest the local Sant Ambrogio smaller food market open AM only, there is even Santo Spirito second hand and fruit & vegetable smaller market, the only one of the left side of the river Arno.
As you browse the selection below you will find museum tours which highlight the masterpieces enclosed within and city tours which will bring the streets, palazzos, and churches alive with stories and details of their illustrious past.
Find Roman ruins, secret passageways and listen to the legends hidden within the city streets. Paola & her partners know how to tantalize you with secrets of this magical city – including indications for the best shops and restaurants.
